“I was so shocked I couldn’t speak.” My wife won a hot spring ticket as the first prize in a raffle held in our neighborhood. It had been a long time since my wife and I had traveled together, and both Saki and I were looking forward to it. On the day of our trip, we arrived at the inn, which was apparently a historic and famous hot spring with excellent therapeutic properties. My wife was looking forward to soaking in the hot springs, but I was tired, so I decided to wait. That was the beginning of the tragedy… If only I had gone with her then, I wouldn’t have had to witness that scene.
